I’m a photographer and I shoot weddings and portraits!” I still get people asking me, after 13 years of business if I shoot weddings. 🙃 Apparently, I either don’t share enough or there are a lot of rocks people are living under. 🙂

Cady and I finally met after years of following one another when we arranged to hang out with our cameras and shoot one another. 🫶🏼 We had a great time and look…feeling cute - will NOT delete later. 🤭 So many fun shots to share in future!

Family. I honestly don’t think love gets greater than this. A toddler giving all of us a run for our money. An abundance of laughter and smiles. The cutest button nose. Kisses for days. A protective Golden Doodle. Overflowing love and gratitude. Add that all together plus a HILARIOUS photographer 🤭 and you get moments to cherish for the rest of time. Congratulations Rachel + Sam. You have such a beautiful family!🫶🏼

**TRIGGER WARNING – PET LOSS**

I don’t believe it’s ever been a thought of mine that when you get a pet that inevitably one day it will pass away. We all KNOWWW this to be the case…but do we really think about it? Well, Charlie was a good ol’ boy. We adopted him in January of 2008, he was 6 months old in the front of the shelter and it was like he was waiting for us to adopt him. He was ignored for 6 months in the shelter…unwanted. My ex-husband brought him home without even consulting me. We had two 6-month-old kittens already…and suddenly we had 3. I didn’t mind. He was a small boy…short and stout with a cute bump on his nose and a crick in his tail. He’s never caused any trouble…a quiet boy seemingly wise beyond his years. His personality was always calm, cool, collected and loved to headbutt and be held – knuckle scratchies around the ears and face were his favorite.

Today, my boy crossed the rainbow bridge, as they say. He died in my arms with his big sisters around him (Lincoln didn’t want to be present) and he passed peacefully. I made sure to pull myself together and capture some photos before hand and even did a quick attempt at the “food on the glass” shots I’ve seen on TikTok – not my best work but time was wearing thin. Dr. Valerie from “In Loving Arms” was our helping friend today who guided us through the process of helping our boy relax into his final slumber before heading off to Heaven. I wasn’t ready. I’ve cried for hours. I’m crying writing this…16 years I had him and he was nothing but good. But his body was telling me…he needed rest.

Dr. Valerie was wonderful. Tender and gentle from our first phone interaction. She made sure our family understood every step that was being taken. She brough grief resources for the kids and for the adults, coloring books, flowers for Charlie, blankets, a bed and her compassionate heart.

Witnessed my sister give birth to my niece, last night - a whopping FIFTEEN DAYS LATE. They all but used dynamite to evict this little girl but she’s finally here. And my gosh is she cute!!!! 😭🫶🏼Brie, you are a champ. My heart ached seeing you in pain but you pushed through (literally) and your daughter came when she was supposed to. I am so proud. Wyatt, way to stand by her side, with low back massages and sweet kisses. You take great care of my girl and for that I’m thankful. To the staff at the Queen, what a team! You all kicked ass. I loved witnessing all your efforts and kindness. Almost makes me want to do it all over again. Almost.
